Pie & Vinyl - Southsea

Like music? Like winter warming deliciousness on a plate? Then get on down to Pie & Vinyl. The one stop pie shop, for all of your vinyl needs.

So, it is time to admit that Autumn is fully upon us, and dare I say it, full on winter wonders are very imminent. This is the time of year where comfort food is craved and thrills are found more inside, than out. For a while now I have been mentioning this magical place. Pie & Vinyl are an independently run pie, come music shop in the heart of Southsea.

Pie & Vinyl do exactly what it says on the tin and they do it in style. The interior of the restaurant/shop is a collectors paradise. The decor is a utopia of vintage from the miss-match ceiling light shades, to the furniture and even down to the cutlery and plates. It is the kind of place you would expect to find in the heart of Shoreditch, but conveniently placed in the South and without the London price tags!

Whilst the store predominantly sells vinyl, it also sells cassette tapes, store merchandise and art prints. Pie and Vinyl have made big waves in the South, creating a recognisable presence in the local music scene- they put on stages for festivals, music events in the area and host gigs. Pie and Vinyl are a force to be reckoned with, making waves in the music industry. Some of the names that have graced the store for signings or sets include Daughter, Mystery Jets, Feeder and Wolf Alice.

The design of the store is completely encompassing. The walls are rich in colour and spill with art work, vinyl, vintage collectables and a complete miss-match of things that really shouldn't work, but really do. It is amazing to go and take a look around, let alone eat scrumptious food.

Being a hub of musical finery, the store has a vast collection of freebie music magazines such as NME, Loud and Quiet, Crack etc. and so even if you aren't in the market for a pie, you can still enjoy a coffee and read up on the happenings of the music world whilst taking in the surroundings.

Music and interior lovers rejoice. You can come visit the store seven days a week to pick up some new vinyl or to enjoy one of their amazing pies, or even just a drink. Trust me when I emphasise just how good the food is here! I have been here more times than I can count on both hands and I have never been disappointed. My favourite is the Freeranger pie, which is a scrumptious mix of chicken, ham hock, leek and cheddar. I very much advise you all to take an afternoon out and come to Southsea to Treat Yo Self...

Enjoy :)

P.S. No, this is not a sponsored post. No one has paid or bribed me with any pies or vinyls to say these things. This was all me yo. However, if someone wants to bribe me with Pies or Vinyls, I would be very receptive to that! xx
