A Shoreditch Adventure

I have recently learnt that there's no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than on a Sunny Shoreditch adventure. Come take a look at my Shoreditch photo diary for a day of interiors, street art, food and fun times.

So of course I have been to Shoreditch before... However, I have mostly toured spitalfieds market and brick lane vintage stores. This time around was a long overdue trip to Shoreditch BoxPark and it's surrounding areas. It was a day full of culture, street art, interiors inspo and scrumptious food. What else do you need?

Okayyy, now let's talk about Decorum shall we!!?

Hidden amongst the gorgeous pop-up stores in a collection of renovated shipping contaniers, was this little interiors gem. I had previously heard about Decorum through some of my work colleagues and seen snippets of the store through their photos. However, visiting Decorum and experiencing this store is a whole different ball game.

The store is of course ever so compact, but it is so super cleverly designed that there is so much on offer and so many awesome groupings of items to look at. The walls have been painted a gorgeous grey to create depth and enhance the beauty of the products.

There is a continued theme within the store. They used very muted colours and earthy materials to create an inviting, atmospheric selling space. The theme of the store is a crossover between scandi and indutsrial design. There are different areas for different areas of the home and gives a short, sharp taste into the world of Decorum. Woah mama FOODIE ALERT-

For lunch, we ventured back to BoxPark as they have an amazing selection of all kinds of street food and a communal eating area on the top level. It has such a nice, chilled out atmosphere. With floor to ceiling windows, you also got an awesome view of some of the street art and surrounding area.
So, keepin' it classy, for lunch I had a pint of cider and THE MOST delicious burger from Black Bear Burgers. I am such a burger fiend and a bit of a snob when it comes to food. Being street food-esk and a place with such high footfall, I did not have massively high hopes. How bloody wrong was I!!
Black Bear Burger served me one of the best burgers I have ever had. I could not recommend it more. It was a great price and fast service, but the quality of it was just so scrumptious.

Cocktails are what Treat Yo'Self Sunday's are all about right?!

So we did venture down to The Hoxton Hotel for a cheeky posh cocktail, but it was so insanely busy. All was not lost, we stumbled upon this little bar of dreams namely The Hoxton Seven and turns out it was happy hour. Oh why thank you universe. Chin Chin.

So what Shoreditch adventure isn't complete without a few rounds of indoor mini golf?

This one was SO much fun. So we took a trip to Junk Yard Golf as a birthday treat. I found this place online and it did not disappoint. For one round of golf it is less than £10 per person. There are 4 many courses to choose from, and it is so much fun. We completed 'Bruce' which was a movie themed course, 'Gary' which was a scrapyard disco course and also 'Bozo' the fairground course. Bruce was my favourite, with installations from the classics including The Planet of The apes, Jurassic Park, Jaws and Shawshank Redemption. I would highly recommend a visit- especially if you are doing London on a budget, or want something that bit different to add to your East London experience.

Don't mind me, hanging out with ma bessie Maurice from Planet of the Apes.

Still a newbie to east London life, where are your favourite places? Do you have any recommendations? I would love to hear from you!

Until next time,
