Berty & Gerty Vintage

First things first, whilst putting the final touches to this post I found out that the Camden store is now closed and that Berty and Gerty Vintage are successfully running their store online
(links to follow below).

What I loved about this place, after speaking to the gentleman behind the counter (some time ago now, nonetheless), was that the store was completely decorated and merchandised by the owners using vintage finds, stock and their own creative vision. Berty & Gerty originally started as a market in Camden, then moved to the store soon after.

The store was a relatively small space, packed to the ceiling with amazing and original vintage pieces. As a lover of anything out of the ordinary, this store captured my attention from across the road.

It spilt with vintage pattern, neon signs and lighting, and absolutely collaged to the nines. The store had a combination of eccentric displays making use of vintage dressers, glass cabinets, vintage suitcases and industrial shelving.

Although the store is now closed, the reason for posting this is that at the time this store gave me a lot of inspiration. It was one of the first times I had visited Camden and the memory of this place gave that sense of magic that has yet to leave my mind. It was captivating, exciting and out of the ordinary.
